Li Jie and the others panicked. “What are you doing?!” Li Jie screamed.

“I am stopping you!” I replied.

The energy from the wooden doll and the array clashed, causing a surge of force that threw everyone back.

I held onto the wooden doll, focusing all my energy on it. I felt an intense connection to the ancient soul, a connection of sympathy and understanding.

I whispered to the ancient soul, “Be free!”

The ancient soul seemed to understand. It gathered its remaining strength and collaborated with the energy from the wooden doll to break free from the array.

With a blinding flash of light and a deafening roar, the array exploded. The ancient soul, now a bright light, shot upwards through the ceiling.

Li Jie and the others were sent flying by the blast. The room was in ruins.

I stood amidst the debris, holding the wooden doll. I felt exhausted, but also relieved.

The danger was over, for now. The ancient soul was free, and the company's plan was thwarted.
