第一幕·八

刚开始几天，每次排练时都是全员到场。即使有人抱怨，也是在休息的时间背着约翰偷偷进行。

约翰导演的歌剧、舞台剧也不只有《猫》，他在各个排练厅之间穿梭，不能一直盯着他们。

到了第二个星期，每天都有人请假。约翰不在场时，有些也不愿意排练了，有一半的时间在聊天。

梁皖妮感觉排练受到了影响。很多部分，她都不能独自进行。

终于，她忍无可忍了。她站在排练厅中央，大声说：“It's time for us to rehearse. If we don't rehearse, we'll miss the show.”

“Why are you in such a hurry? The show is still a month away. Besides, Mr. Wilson doesn't know what we're doing now.”一个女演员坐在她不远处，伸出手欣赏着自己新做的美甲，用无所谓的态度说。

玛格丽特也很生气：“If you don't rehearse, what are you doing on Broadway? What are you doing as actors?”

“For fame and money.”刚才在欣赏美甲的女演员放下了手，“务实”地说。

梁皖妮愈发生气了：“How do you get fame and money? You depend on your performance. You should improve your acting skills.”

那个女演员站了起来：“How many viewers will really care about your acting? Moreover, on the stage, the audience may not be able to see your actions and expressions clearly. Let others remember you, the most important thing is not the performance.”

“So how did you get Mr Wilson to pick you for Broadway?”梁皖妮反问她。

梁皖妮觉得，这个搭档，和简有相似之处。

“Me? Just because I don't care about acting doesn't mean I don't have acting. Besides, I think my singing is better than you.”

她高傲地扬了扬头，一甩头发，扬长而去，出门时丢下一句：“Tell Mr Wilson for me that I suddenly had hypoglycemia and asked for leave.”
